Project Teaching Packs

Our art and craft Project Teaching Packs, written by specialist Art teachers, are designed to be used for Key Stages 1 and 2, but can also be used as an introduction to Key Stage 3. They are particularly useful:

  • During an Arts Week or special Arts Day
  • Over a set period of lesson time and/or linked to other curriculum areas.

The key to successful Art projects is always the initial design, the preplanning, the organisation and clear process instructions. The Project Teaching Packs tackle these issues and provide detailed guidance, taking you carefully through each step and process with comprehensive notes, drawings and full colour photographs. The packs are designed so that many of the pictures can be used for display purposes in the classroom. Expensive equipment and materials are not always necessary to try these processes, with cheaper alternatives suggested where appropriate. With the exception of consumable materials and equipment the packs include everything necessary to undertake these exciting projects, and provide guidance for further work.

Each pack includes:

  • History/explanation of the process
  • Theme ideas
  • Numerous full colour photographs for display purposes
  • Materials list
  • Detailed method/lesson plan and time allocation
  • Process photographs
  • Glossary of Art language to use
  • Artist or reference links - further reading
  • Examples of children's work
  • Key-Stage guidance
  • Links  to other curriculum areas

You can now also order CDs with all the images for use with an interactive white board
